Just recently I "accidentally" came across this little video, explaining the origins of the most beloved celebration of the year - CHRISTMAS! Now I'm not saying that as Christians we should all ban the holiday and make our families miserable. But I did find it very helpful, and definitely had an eye-opening experience - which I am very thankful for, since I've never ever heard this side of the story. It's important to know why we do or don't do certain things - to be able to explain to our children the true meaning of this celebration and also why we steer clear of the pagan traditions and deceptions (yule log, mistletoe, Santa Clause).

I'm also including some helpful reading material from trustworthy sources that at the same time give us the freedom from feeling that we should abandon the Christmas celebration altogether. In the end, it's between us and God! :)
